Thanks to the hard work and generosity of our Knights of Columbus and parishioners, St. Andrew’s had another successful Thanksgiving Food Drive this year. 235 boxed meals were donated to Western Fairfax Christian Ministries (Chantilly) and to parish families. In addition, 1,543 pounds of canned vegetables, dried foods, and miscellaneous food items were donated to Catholic Charities’ St. Lucy Project in Manassas. $7,300 in monetary donations were received, the majority of which was donated to the Food Pantry to purchase turkeys, hams, and chicken, with the remainder was used to offset costs of the collection/delivery (truck rental, fuel, etc.).
